Ever since it was inaugurated 25 years ago now, it has become one of the most important yachting marinas in the entire Mediterranean as well as one of the most glamorous places in Mallorca.

The concession of a yachting marina licence to Puerto Portals, the initial idea for which goes back to 1932, became a reality in 1981 when it was awarded to the German family, Graf (who were the owners of well-known brands of electrical household appliances and bathroom fittings) by the company, Puerto Punta Portals PLC. The marina was opened in1986.

Right in the centre of Palma Bay, Puerto Portals opens to the sea as the most prestigious nautical and leisure complex in the Mediterranean. Situated just 10 km from the centre of Palma and 16 km from the airport, Puerto Portals has 670 moorings for boats measuring from eight to 60 m in length and an exclusive commercial zone. The latter has a wide, quality complementary range including restaurants, bars, fashion boutiques, nautical businesses, jewellers, perfumers, real estate agents and other services.”

Puerto Portals is a place to see and be seen during the summer and you are highly likely to bump into more than one celebrity. What is more, it is the place where the members of the jet set moor their boats and yachts. It is not difficult to understand the reasons for its popularity.

OD Port Portals is a privileged location, situated only a short distance from Costa d´en Blanes beach, Portals Nous beach and excellent golf clubs such as Real Golf de Bendinat and the superb, sea-facing tennis and paddle tennis courts at the Sporting Tenis Padel Club (300 m from the hotel).
